Tire Inspection

Tire Tread Imaging is used to measure the uniformity of tread pattern and depth of the tire tread. The "bump" is a salt crystal. Defects can be automatically detected through software.
sidewall image The 3D scanning can be used to detect and read the alphanumerical identification for the tire. In this image, you can see a salt crystal and a sprue, left over from the molding process. Not only can we recognize the text, but we can tell if it is sufficiently raised to be readable by human eyes.
sidewall printing Again, imaging allows for detection of surface defects and recognition of tire markings.
