Automated Inspection Technology for the the Medical Manufacturing Industries
LVR has developed a new low cost 3D scanner to accomodate the orthopaedic marketplace, taking the place of optical comparators and CMMs and eliminating the need for feeler gages and costly hand measurement.
These scanners allow manufacturers to accurately scan parts in production, compare the scans to a reference part and make accurate measurements in near real time. The scanners are coupled to robots to automate the inspection and measurement process.
Pricing is comparable to optical comparators and CMMs without the tedious hand measurement
